We are very grateful for the many words of encouragement received from our brothers and sisters around the world. March 11 was a terrible day for Japan and the world. We are very grateful to God that no SDA has lost his life so far.
We have been in the process of assessing damages to our churches and schools in the disaster area. Two schools and 3 or 4 churches need help with repairs to their buildings. Thank you for your prayers for the many emails and phone calls around the world, showing great love and concern for community Japanese and our churches and schools Adventist .
ADRA Japan, a department of the Adventist Church Japan cooperation and serves the entire community and coordinate efforts with the government and other NGOs . ADRA Japan under the umbrella of Adventist Church Japan, which is responsible for the care of churches Seventh Day Adventists and the needs of the school. Separate ADRA Japan, Adventist Church in Japan requests funds for our churches and schools that have been damaged in the earthquake.
As it is not safe to send repair crews to the affected area, however, we are at the time of accepting funds to help repair the structures of the church and school. Volunteers are asked to help once it is safe to enter the zones.
The vault of the chapel of our high school has fallen, another school is damaged and possibly 3 or more churches have been damaged. we have deemed necessary to help these brothers to rebuild their schools and homes of the church. We are on break from school after high school graduation, so we are praising God that no children were injured. Water and electricity is a common need to share with non-Adventist community in these areas.

The world president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ted NC Wilson today issued the following statement :
"The Adventists Day around the world come together today with the Japanese people in mourning the loss caused by the Sendai earthquake and resulting tsunami. Our thoughts, our prayers and our condolences to those who have suffered such a loss.

A spokesman for the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), said today that an assessment team arrived ADRA Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, one of the most affected regions.

There are about 15,000 Adventists in Japan who meet in 115 churches
